Donate a Bike!
All participants who donate a bike to the Reno Bike Project will receive a free inaugural Reno River Roll t-shirt. The Reno Bike Project is built around the belief that the bicycle is the world’s greatest, most utilized mode of transportation and that every individual, regardless of age, gender, race, or class has a right to afford, maintain, and enjoy one. Used bicycles and used parts donated to RBP from the community are refurbished and sold, stripped for parts, sold as they are, or given away. The Reno Bike Project believes everyone has a right to affordable, sustainable transportation and strives to accommodate everyone.
In an effort to encourage people to ride their bikes to the Reno River Festival , the Reno Bike Project will be providing a free, secure, hassle-free, exhaust-free Bike Valet Parking service. No need to bring a lock. This service is safe and secure with volunteers watching your bike the entire time. Just look for the giant Bike Valet sign and ask a volunteer to park your bike. The Bike Valet service is free, however, tips for the volunteers are encouraged!
The Reno River Roll is Back!
Rain or wind couldn’t keep 2016’s new addition to the Reno River Festival from becoming a massive hit. The Reno River Roll is one of the most unique events in Northern Nevada. Celebrating everything that is bicycle, this casual 7-mile costumed slow-ride kicks off on the brand new Virginia Street bridge, tours along the Truckee River and finishes in the heart of the Reno River Festival.
Tour the streets of Reno on your best ride while trailing a live mobile band, the Coors Light Girls Racing Team, Dolan Automotive, Tour De Nez, The RPD Bike Squad, hundreds of fellow River Rollers and more. They will lead an experience unlike any bike ride you’ve been on before. The Reno River Roll is open to all ages and to all types of bicycles. Roll in your best get-up because we will be hosting a costume contest on the main stage of the River Fest. Dress your best for a chance to win a whole slew of prizes including a Coors Light bicycle, cash and a dinner for two with a suite at the Circus Circus.
All pre-event registrations will receive a River Roll nap sack stuffed with goodies, a River Roll water bottle as well as a beer, water or soda after the roll.
